Christian Kyriacou is an Architect, House Whisperer, Philosopher, Author, Storyteller, Spatial Psychotherapist, Musician, Composer, Filmmaker, Feng Shui, Vaastu and Geomancy Consultant. He has appeared on international television and radio since 1993 as an inspirational speaker on topics such as the relationship of sound and sacred space, architectural harmonics and music, geomancy and Feng Shui. His work with the spatial energy of buildings engages with how aspects of acoustics, vibration, music and harmonics relate to sacred geometry in architectural spaces. His psychotherapeutic approach involves reading and understanding the consciousness of buildings, which in turn affects the relationship of people to their homes and workplaces.
Christian has always been absorbed in exploring the philosophical nature of the universe and the search for the meaning of life. His breadth of knowledge and understanding comes from a lifetime of working with many different modalities: Music, Oriental Philosophies, Sacred Sound, Harmonic Resonance, Sacred Geometry, Sacred Architecture, Geomancy, Science, Physics, Cosmology, and the Eastern practices of Vaastu and Feng Shui. He spent 25 years studying in a London based School of Philosophy and is especially interested in the Vedic scriptures, Sanskrit language and various meditation practices. His study of ancient cultures and world religions includes spending time in Great Britain and Ireland, Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal, Lisbon, Monaco, Malta, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Jordan, Madeira, USA: New York, New Jersey, California, Portland, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Honduras and Canada.
In the early 1990s Christian trained in Bio-Mobility, an energy modality which identifies trauma that has become locked into the molecular memory of the muscular system. By holding pressure on the insert and origin points of the muscles that require healing and moving the corresponding limbs, this releases the blocked energies. The process of identifying blocked energies was later incorporated into his work as The House Whisperer in getting to the core issue of the ‘story’ running in people’s lives, helping them release any trauma held in their inner personal space and external physical home.
In 2017 he qualified in a post graduate diploma course in Jungian psychotherapy with SOPH UK.
Christian designs new and adapts existing buildings incorporating diverse skills and practices such as the Music of Buildings. He is passionate about fusing classical principles of architecture with contemporary materials and ideologies, incorporating sacred geometry and proportion, musical ratios and harmonic resonance, in keeping with the spirit of the land.
He also offers workshops on a wide range of subjects close to his heart including the equine world and advises clients and other professionals on architectural projects from the perspective of The House Whisperer. His work over the past 45 years has taken him into thousands of buildings where he highlights the correlation of people and spaces, leading him to a greater understanding of the consciousness of buildings. Christian’s guidance is provided in a no-nonsense accessible language whereby the individual can take responsibility for resolving issues that led them to him in the first place!
Born into a Greek musical family in Nicosia, Cyprus, he left the Island of Aphrodite as a young child when his parents emigrated and came to London. The displacement of home at an early age led to a profound sense of ‘seeking home’ and connection with the emotions of buildings. It is therefore no surprise that Christian’s work with House Whispering is about helping people to find their true home through their relationship with where they live.
Christian lives in Kingston upon Thames, England, and has three adult children. He is never more at home than when surrounded by his many ancient and contemporary musical instruments, composing and playing harmonies that flow through him from the wonders of creation.
